A 12 credit certificate program is being developed. Target date: September 2013. The online graduate level certificate will comprise of:
- SURG 510 - Surgical Care in International Health (pre-requisite)
- SURG 512 - Global Disability-A Surgical Care Response
- SURG 514 - Surgical Care Issues in Humanitarian Disaster Response
- SURG 513 - Program Planning & Evaluation
Students can transfer the credits from the certificate into the Master’s program (under development).
A 30 credit online professional graduate program is being developed. The program will provide graduate students from diverse surgical and/or medical backgrounds with a broad overview of the international surgery fundamentals, research methodologies and contemporary priorities.
Students will be required to take 12 core courses, a field practicum (6 credits) and 12 electives.
The core courses are:
- SURG 510- Surgical Care in International Health
- SURG 512- Global Disability - A Surgical Care Response
- SURG 514- Surgical Care Issues in Humanitarian Disaster Response
- SURG 513 - Program Planning & Evaluation
- SURG 515 - Practicum
